Nine-hundred and nine pages later, I'm done with A Memory of Light. As I have now finished the last of the books, A Memory of Light (AMOL) I think I should follow up my previous post with a sort of end cap. Barry Kauler's excellent Puppy Linux is based on JWM. I was sad as I read the last chapter. A small memory footprint makes it a good choice for older computers and less powerful systems. The end of what has been a very long journey (although not so much for the characters), and what a disappointing ending it is. Done with the Wheel of Time series. JWM is a light-weight window manager for the X11 Window System. I start it off much the same I way wrote the review for the previous WoT book. This is easily the most difficult review I have had the opportunity write. Tor Books released A Memory of Light as a $34.99 hardcover this week, the final book in epic fantasy Wheel of Time series created by the late Robert Jordan.
